Business Development Representative (Outbound SDR)


The Role

As an BDR at Rentlytics, your primary responsibility is to proactively contact target accounts for the purpose of qualifying them for a more in-depth discussion with our sales team.

In this role,  you will actively collaborate with at least one Regional Sales Representative in their respective territories to strategically reach out to target accounts. This outbound roll differs from a typical, cold call oriented BDR position in the way Rentlytics is uniquely positioned in the market to create a “warmer” message for it’s target accounts.  


  • Respond to and qualify incoming web and phone inquiries regarding Rentlytics products
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • ​Build a great first impression to our prospects and customers by providing them with a premier experience
  • Partner with our experienced Account Executives to help fill their pipeline and develop your skills
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Rentlytics products
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives


  • 1+ years of SDR/BDR experience in the SaaS industry
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and listening skills
  • Proven record of success
  • Must be able to thrive in a very fast paced startup environment

Desired Skills

  • Experience with CRM (
  • Prior experience/knowledge of the Saas sales cycle
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communicator
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work efficiently in fast paced environments
