Marketing Communications Specialist

The Role 

Are you a smart, eager-to-learn marketer with a strong writing background, who is looking to gain more exposure to Marketing Communications and Product Marketing?

We’re looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our growing Marketing team at Rentlytics. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Product Marketing, but will work closely with the rest of the Marketing team, Customer Success, and Sales. This role will be responsible for content strategy and creation, sales enablement, and key product marketing programs. In this role, you’ll be able to support Rentlytics’ growth, while building out your own marketing skill set.   • Content: Support content strategy creation, maintain editorial calendar, create content as needed (e.g., blog posts, email copy, etc.) and manage external content agency.
  • Website: Ensure website follows SEO best practices, update copy as needed, etc.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop sales collateral, support sales training, build out sales communication plan and strategy.
  • Product Launch: Manage the cross-functional implementation of any product releases, support product launch activities, etc.
  • Market/Competitive Intelligence: Support customer and market research process, including selecting candidates, writing surveys or interview questions, managing interviews, and analyzing results.
  • PR: Build out PR process, craft and distribute press releases, source speaking opportunities, and develop content as needed for those speaking sessions.
  • Association Management: Manage relationships with industry associations including being the point of contact at Rentlytics and evaluating membership levels and opportunities
  • Miscellaneous: While this role has a focus on content and product marketing, we’re looking for someone who is eager to explore different areas of marketing and is comfortable taking on new opportunities whether it’s diving into our SEO strategy, building a social media plan around a product launch, building a customer reference program, etc.


Requirements and skills

  • 2-3 years of Marketing experience, ideally in the SaaS industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in content marketing, customer marketing, or product marketing
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and listening skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work efficiently in fast paced environments
  • Detail oriented while still focused on larger goals
  • Must be able to thrive in a very fast paced startup environment
  • Proven record of success in previous roles
